Preparation for festival/concert programs has already begun. Attendance and practice at home are key elements to a good performance. Please make both a priority.

Students should have the following with them at each rehearsal:
1. Instrument
2. Pick
3. Music (organized in a binder)
4. Completed practice sheet – signed by parent
5. Athletic clothes for dance (no jeans please)
6. Appropriate shoes for dance (NO FLIP FLOPS please)

Please make it a priority to arrive on time and ready to start at 4pm and stay until 7pm. Late arrivals/Early departures cause interruptions not only to the instructors but also the students.

If students will be absent, you will need to notify Julie Hughes, Director at wkgndirector@comcast.net or 847-445-8870. A 48 hour notice would be appreciated but obviously exceptions will be made for emergencies.

2009 Adult Orchestra Rehearsals

There has been an interest in getting together once a month until August comes around again for the festival. Thursday evenings are good for me from 7-9pm. Please comment or send me an e-mail at wkgndirector@comcast.net if Thursday nights would work for you. Thanks, Julie

January - 4, 11, 18, 25 - 5-8pm
February - 1, 8, 15, 22 - 5-8pm
March - 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 - 5-8pm

April
Sunday 5th - 5-8pm
Saturday 11th - 2-5pm - MANDATORY (Juniors will not perform in Milwaukee if not present)
Sunday's 12th and 19th NO REHEARSAL for Easter Holidays.
Saturday April 18th. Arrival by 2pm in Milwaukee for 4pm concert.
Pictures will be taken after arrival for the Festival in July. If you are not in attendance for the concert, your picture will not be in this years program.
Sunday 26th - 5-8pm

May - 3, 17, 24, 31 - 5-8pm (NO REHEARSAL May 10th - Happy Mother's Day)
June - 7, 14, 28 - 5-8 pm (NO REHEARSAL June 21st - Happy Father's Day)

JUNE 28th is a MANDATORY rehearsal. If you are NOT present for this rehearsal you will not be performing at the Festival.

Thank you for all of your hard work so far this year. I will be keeping a close eye on attendance and late arrivals. Please remember that after 3 absences, the Waukegan Tams will charge each student towards their trip to Chicago. 3 late arrivals are considered 1 absence.

Nashville Rehearsals

We have 4 rehearsals left before we head out to Nashville!:) Please make sure you are practicing Polka i Drmes and Hercegovacki Ples. I know that we are going to want to have optimal fun when we arrive so lets work hard these next few weeks and enjoy ourselves when we get there. I will have one more arrangement for us next week to fill in the time gap but it will only be a hard piece for Jaime (so the rest of us can relax) lol. See you all Sunday.....
